I used to hate it and think it was too posh, but now I don't mind it at all. I like the nn Richie.

Richard is quite nice - I like "Richy" as a nickname, but that may just be because I love expensive-sounding names. ;-)

Kyle: That's not being nice! That's just putting on a nice sweater!
Cartman: ...I don't understand the difference.

It's a bit harsh sounding, and very boring. It'd be a shame to use the tired old Richard imo, when there are thousands of fresh and underused names out there._____________________________________________________________________"There are few more distressing sights than that

I find it lacking personality, and I don't like any of it's nicknames. Right now I can't see it on a child, but I guess it's time will come.

It´s a classic name but anyway I wouldn´t use it. It seems to dated to me.
See the current list of names in my profile. :D

I like it. I don't like the nicknames Rich or Dick but every Richard I've known has gone by Rick, which I find appealing.
"...I have for the first time found what I can truly love--I have found you. You are my sympathy--my better self--my good angel--I am bound to you with a strong attachment. I think you good, gifted, lovely: a fervent, a solemn passion is conceived in my heart; it leans to you..."

It's a nice normal name. I personally like Alberich better, because it kind of similar but not very used.---------------------------------------------------------------------

It's a name with so much history and might be too classy for some, but I'm more and more liking it. And I like the NM Richie or Ricky. ^_^Mom to Olivia and Aunt to Joseph, Michelle, Erica and Alex

I really like it. It's a name that'll age well, and I like the sound of it.

Very boring imo. Maybe as a mn to honor a family member, but that's about it. Also, as a fn, I'd be worried kids might tease him later and call him Dick. :b

I love it, it deserves more use and attention than it is getting right now. An actual solid classic name that's great on adults and has plenty of nickname possibilities for kids. I am so fond of the nickname Ricky.
