I think it's adorable. I like it more than I like Violet. I can't think of any nns because I like just Lavender.

I like the name Lavender, but I think it's better as a mn. Violet is nice too.

I think it's beautiful, but I would definitely put it in the mn spot. It reminds me of Miss Lavender (or something close to that) in one of the Anne of Green Gables. I think it's better than Violet, but I maybe prefer Viola to both of them.It would be lovely as a mn for many of your faves:
Charlotte Lavender
Arianna Lavender
Emmaline Lavender
Elizabeth Lavender
Julianna Lavender

I like the color, flower, and scent but it's only a GP as a name for me, and even then only as a mn. It's a little 'too different' imo, and there really aren't any nice nn's for it I can think of. Maybe a stretch but perhaps - Liv?

nn Lav .. which reminds me of Lavatory.I don't really like it, it's nice but nicknames such as Lav [Lavatory!] can form from it. It would drive me nuts to have to call someone Lavender, most long names have shorter forms. Just my opinion.

It's okay, kind of a sweet idea, but I don't like the actual sound of the name. It seems cumbersome - any good nickname ideas?

I like it. I prefer Violet, though--it seems more substantial and name-like.

I think it's silly.

Lavender is lovely! Yes, I like it better than Violet, which I think is getting a little annoying, unforunately.

Lavendar is a very pretty colour and a lovely flowering plant. As a name I much prefer Violet. Lavendar reminds me too much of the Harry Potter character. I can't think of any nns other than Lav, Lavvy, maybe Livie?

Lavender sounds like a boy's name to me (despite the description). I never saw it as a name, either... I prefer Violet by far.
I guess you could use the nn Lola for Lavender (doesn't that go with many "L-" names?)

I have liked Lavender since I watched the movie Matilda when I was little. It is under the Guilty Pleasures catergory along with many other flower names like: Violet, Lily, Rose, Dahlia, & Hyacinth.NN: Lavi, Lav... but mostly just call Lavender.

I think Lavender is a nice change from Violet, which is quite popular now. It makes me think of the film Matilda, with the little girl who was called Lavender. I don't think it really needs a nn. Lav? Ender? Purple? using your style of names:
Lavender Marie
Lavender Caitlin
Lavender Hailey
Lavender Rose
Lavender Danielle
Lavender Lauren
Lavender Charlotte
Lavender Rachel
April Lavender
Amy Lavender
Olivia Lavender
Sarah LavenderAny you like?

I prefer Emma Lavender. Lovely combo.

Emily is really overused, but Emily Lavender is a pretty combo, and she will have the option of going by Lavender if she knows too many Emily's.

I prefer Violet. I like old fashioned names, but Lavendar just seems stuffy-dated.

I love the name Lavender, though I don't prefer it over Violet. A good nickname could be Lavvie, and some combos are Lavender Isabelle, Lavender Mae, Lavender Rose, and Lavender Melissa.

I would prefer Violet over Lavender. That is just my opinion. I think Violet is beautiful but Lavender isn't terrible either.
