What do you think of Berlin and place names in general? Most I don't like, but Berlin is growing on me. I think it sounds really pretty. But I've never actually been there and I have no idea what Berlin is like. I just like the sound of the name. Does it seem "tacky"?

It's a nice name, but I would suggest you only use it if the actual city of Berlin held some significance to you, which it apparently doesn't. However, if you were to go to Berlin and enjoy your trip, then by all means feel free to use it.

I would say no unless it has a very special meaning to you, which it doesn't.

I have been to Berlin...and it isnt't a bad place. Only problem is, why name a child Berlin if it just sounds pretty? Why not just visit the place instead. I mean, I like the sound of Berlin too...but since it is already taken by a very popular place I would rather have a name that is more uncommon.

Ugh. I can't even find the right words to explain why I don't like it--all that's coming to me is ugh.
