Help[Opinions] Ainsworth
WDYT of this name? I found it quite some time ago in the interesting booklet of names my mother had when she was pregnant with me. According to the book, it means "literary," though I've since found out it's primarily a surname and really means something like "place along the river." One of my characters is named Ainsworth, so I wouldn't be using it on any future children of mine, but I think it has a distinguished and offbeat ring to it.

Cpl Ainsworth Dyer
was one of four Canadian soldiers killed by an incautious American fighter pilot in Afghanistan in 2002. The four were the first Canadian casualties in Afghanistan, and since his name is so uncommon, that is the first thing that would come to mind for many in this country.

Seems high upper class to me, which is fine if you are. If you're not, then I would expect some teasing for the little guy/girl as it feels fragile.
It would be nice as a mn though.

Keyboarding.
The Ainsworth Keyboard program was what we used to learn to type when I was in elementary and middle school. It was a pretty fun time, but I have a hard time seeing it as a given name.
As a middle name, I'd dig it.
