I came across this name in some charts of my distant ancestry. It brings me pleasure! It seems sweet and delicious and sorta understated yet princessy. Or maybe it's just weird or something. What say you, hive mind?

I don't really like the way it looks, probably because it contains Cleo, which I dislike for some reason.

I really can't say how it's pronounced. The ancestor who bore it was an Alsatian and probably spoke French. My inclination is to pronounce it KLEE-off or KLAY-off or something in between, and it sounds nicer and more natural to me with stress on the first syllable.

If French, I believe it would be pronounced Cley-O-ff

It looks Greek to me. I'd pronounce it clee-OH-fee. But I'm probably way wrong. It looks pretty though.

That was how I thought it would be too, but I really have no idea. I agree too that it looks pretty. :)

It's interesting but if its prn how I think then I definitely hear "oaf" in it.
