The first thing I saw was "Asphault." It also reminds me of the phrase "ASAP". In theory, I like the sound of it, but both of those things bother me. It reminds me of Aesop, though that's not at all a bad thing. Despite the two aforementioned associations, I like the spelling Asaph better as it looks more complete to me.

At first glance I thought it would be pronounced ACE-aff as in Asa - but I feel the whole ASAP thing could be a problem.

I like the spelling Asaph, as Asaf looks middle eastern to me and I don't generally like middle eastern spellings.

I really love it! I prefer Asaph to Asaf. I don't think it will be a major issue to have to spell the name for people, it's not a common name and will probably be asked to spell it anyway. It reminds me of Aesop and Asa, both of which I also enjoy.

Asaf isn't much better, it sounds unattractive. Like half-ass.
