[Opinions] Tedra
Tedra (prn. Ted-ruh)
Anyone ever heard this name? My younger brother has a close friend named this, and nearly everyone calls her Teddy. Tedra is feminine without being too frilly, and is definitely not a name you hear every day. I think the nn Teddy is cute, spunky, and fits her well. Anyway, it's not in the database, and was just wondering if anyone had ever come across it...

I believe it is a telescoped form of Theodora.

Upon first reading, it seems very strange to my eyes and ears. But I think it could grow on me. I've never heard of anyone named Tedra. I'm a firm believer that a mn can make a good fn better. So with that in mind, some combo ideas:Tedra Anthea
Tedra Zinaide
Tedra Sandrine
Tedra Linnea
Tedra Oceane
Tedra Morgaine
Tedra Wynnlike any?

I particularly like Tedra Sandrine and Tedra Oceane ... thought Tedra Morgaine is nice as well. I'll have to ask my brother if he knows (or can find out) her middle name - now I'm curious!
Thanks :)

Sorry, meant to be under the original postI've never heard it, but I do know a little girl named Tidjra (pronounced TEE-dra). lol, her older siblings are Jontay (b) and Kharlieeca.

Those poor children. How are they supposed to go through life with those names? Jontay is the most mild of the three, and even that's a little extreme. But Kharlieeca? Come on.
