I found this name once in a rubbish baby name book which gave the meaning as 'chosen one' and said it was German. I looked up the internet trying to verify this but all I can find is the other less reliable name sites which also say that the meaning is chosen or 'singled out'. But I can't find any reliable info. Can anyone tell me if the meaning is correct?
