It reminds me of Isak Dinesen (Karen Blixen), author of Out of Africa. I dislike surnames first names, especially on girls.

It's cute, I like it!
Reminds me of 'denizen'. Not particularly appealing.

I was hoping it was for a boy before I opened the post.
Why would you use a name on a girl with Denis playing such a prominent part, especially a surname-y -son name. At least Madison, Emerson etc (as much as I dislike them) have feminine nns (Maddie, Emmie). The trend for -son names on girls is getting out of hand, even more so as I find them very masculine.

One more unfortunate butch surname on a girl. Doesn't do it for me, sorry.
I do like Denny / Dennie as a nn, though, for either sex. Very cute.

Honestly, I don't think I'd like it on a girl. I'm not big into surname-esque first names , not to mention putting them on girls. It seems a bit... masculine on a little girl.
Besides, if I had to use it, I'd spell it Dennison. The missing 'n' seems like a spelling mistake to me.
