[Opinions] Jorge?
back in july (as my sig states) me and my ensemble were given the incredible honour of getting to play for Maestro Jorge Morel in a master class. I think it would be great to name a child after a guitarist and Jorge is a lovely name but do you think that someone with no spanish heritage could pull it off?

I think if used as a fn on someone with no Hispanic heritage, it might seem a little odd, but he'd always have a nice story to tell people on how he got his name. :) I'd still say it might be best as a mn. Either way, I LOVE saying it. Hor-Hay. The breathier the better. :b On a side note, the actor Joaquin Phoenix was named after a family friend, I believe, and their family has no Hispanic heritage I'm aware of. He's been able to pull it off quite well. :)

If you're not of hispanic heritage, I think people might wonder why your name is hispanic. Maybe you could use it for a middle name or use George instead.
