Unfortunately, it's got a stigma to it. :-( I see it as a poor, African-American name. A shame, but it's reality.
Edited to add: I am not being a hypocrite. I am stating that yes, these names do have a stigma, and people need to be aware of them. I'd say the same thing to anyone.
