Well, since it reminds me of a labia I am not exactly thrilled with it and don't find it very pretty. Maybe just a name that starts with a Lam- or ends with a -mia would be better imo.

I echo anyone who has said it's too reminiscent of 'lame' and 'labia.' I don't care for it.

More than even the history behind it, I don't care for the sound (seems almost trendy, like La + Mia), makes me think of "lame" and "labia" as well. :-/

I can't think of a single way one could say it and make it sound nice. LAY-mee-uh, luh-MEE-uh, LAM-ee-uh, lam-EE-uh...they all just sound ugly to me.
