My cousin recently gave birth to her first child a baby girl called Becky, simply on its own with no middle names.

I do like it but I just find it a bit incomplete without her full name being Rebecca or Rebekah.

Becky is my favorite nickname for Rebecca. As a given name, it's awful.

I don't really like it. Rebekah is lovely, and I've become sort of partial to nn Bekah. But Becky is nms, especially on it's own.

I agree. I don't like the name anyway, and I used to work witha fairly obnoxious (whiny, self-centered, shallow, in some ways lazy) person named Becky. Also, it doesn't age very well, whereas Rebecca sounds equally good on a little girl or a grownup lady.

I, too, think that Becky seems incomplete on its own. I like it as a NN, though. Rebecca would have been very pretty.
