Funny, I've been thinking a lot about
Laura myself lately. I love the sweetness and simplicity of it. It's understated and isn't overly common. If you study the SSA's listings for the last four or five decades or so, you'll notice that
Laura's popularity is pretty consistent (in the 40s which may be too common for some but not for me). The mn I like best with
Laura is
Margaret which was my mother's name. I also like
Laura Juliet and
Laura Susanna, but I think anything classic would work nicely with
Laura.
And of course, I love
Caroline. It's my dd's mn.
I think
Laura and
Caroline complement each other very well.
