I fall in love with the name Katriona today and I really love the nickname Katri. I'm thinking about using this name in my story but my first questin is; How do you picture a person with this name? personality, age, appearance ???

And what could her parents and siblings names be? And what could her middlename be? Do you have any other nicknames for Katriona/Catriona besides Katie,Kate, Katty?

I like it spelt with a 'c'. I know a Catriona - most people call her Cat, but her faimily calls her Treena (not sure how to spell that).

Not light but not dark Blonde hair, brown or green eyes. Can't pinpoint an age. Smart, shy, slightly conservative.

I picture Katriona being a girl with light brown hair and hazel eyes, about 15 years old. She has an easy-going personality and loves to help people.

Her parents could be Alexander and Ruth (or Muriel). Sisters could be Sorcha, Clodagh (KLO da), Aislin (ASH lin), Alana, Bridget, Saoirse (SEER sha), Síne (or Sheena), and Talulla. Brothers could be Aidan, Angus, Duncan, Dermot, Conor, Eamon, Fintan, Ciaran/Kieran, Owen, Patrick, and Rory

Those are names that came to mind. Hope it helps.

it's really pretty, but i think it sounds a bit too much like Katrina (the hurricane). i'm not saying the name itself isn't nice. it's just unlikely that people reading the name won't think of Katrina.
