John and I met in high school. I was a freshman, and he was a junior. We began dating shortly thereafter, and became high school sweethearts. After he graduated, and attended college locally, we continued to see each other, until he proposed the Christmas after my graduation. We were married the following September, and have now been happily married for a year.
