I really like Dottie as a name on its own and I was wondering what everyone thought of it and if anyone had any mn suggestions.

Dottie is okay but more for a young girl than an adult.

I prefer it as a nickname for Dorothy, Dorothea, or even Theodora.
Plus, I don't think it's a cute as dot.

Sorry, it's ok as a nn for Dorothy, and even then for a young child, but really unsuitable as a full name. Can you imagine a CEO named Dottie or a 80-year old woman named Dottie? I also can't shake off the fact that it's close to "dotty", as in slang for crazy.
