Helen Sofija is 4 year old girl a girl from Latvia in a wheelchair. She can not move either of her legs, but makes full use of every body part above her waist. She is small with reddish-blonde hair and dark blue eyes. Helen was born in an orphanage and remained there for her entire life because her mother was incapable of raising her. She will need special care, but is a very sweet little girl.

Helen Sofija Hope is doing well. She is becoming close to our oldest, Huck; he dotes on her all the time. Everyone loves her, though. She really enjoys listening to the music at church; her eyes light up. Helen-Sofija gets to sit in the pew with us instead of in her chair and she especially loves when we stand up to sing because Daddy holds her so she can be up, too. She goes to children's choir with the rest of our children and is beginning to try to sing along to some of the songs. The director is very patient with her and lets her play the instruments. Her favorite is the tamborine. Sofie will start school after Christmas.

Spock, Seven, Data, and Tuvok, cats
Spock (brown tabby, male) is very aloof, rarely spending time with us. Seven (orange tabby, female) is curious, but not overly affectionate. Data (grey and white, male) is the most affectionate of the cats, and the most patient. Tuvok (black) is also very aloof. They suit their Star Trek namesuits well.
Anificus, blacksnake.
Anificus is a snake. He stays in his tank-thing all the time, and is non-poisonous.

I finally got around to it!
Carmen Graciela was taken in from the streets of Havana when she was 7 years old. She is now 14 and has been residing in an orphanage ever since. Due to malnutrition when she was young, Carmen is underweight, but she will be fine. She is tall for her age with long, straight, dark hair. Her eyes are a deep chocolate brown. She will need a lot of emotional support due to her lack of parental guidance for her entire life.
Riordan Padraic's parents died in a plane crash when he was 12. He is now 15. He had been residing with his grandmother, but she recently passed away due to illness. Riordan has medical depression, and must therefore be treated with care. It will most likely take a long period of time for him to adjust to having parents again. He is a little bit short, but not overly so, with light brown hair and a considerable amount of freckles. His eyes are hazel.
Everett Cole is a 16 year old boy from Detriot, Michigan. He was verbally, emotionally and physically abused by his mother until the age of 10, when child services intervened. He has permanant scarring on his back from abuse, but it does not effect his daily life. He may mistrust his adopters for the first few weeks of his life in a new home due to his violent past with parental figures. He is small for his age with blonde hair and blue eyes.
Holly Katherine is Everett's twin sister. She was also abused by her mother, though not as violently as Everett was. In the 6th grade one of her teachers sexually abused her multiple times before she told authorities. She will need to see a therapist and serious emotional problems should be expected. She is average height and has curly blonde hair and the same eyes as her brother.

Leila Renee is a pretty 12 year old girl with a handsome twin brother named Leland Cole, whom you also adopted. They are from New York City and have lived in multiple foster homes and orphanages due to their desire to remain together despite agencies being low on space. Sticking together is extremely important to them, as they were both abused by their father when they were young until child services intervened. It may take them quite some time to be able to trust their new parents, no matter how loving they are, due to the children's rocky past with adults. Leila and Leland both have black hair and green eyes. Leila's hair is straight and past her shoulder blades and Leland's is a bit messy and to his ears.
Leah Katherine is a 15 year old girl from northern California. She loves the outdoors and is very kind and sweet, but society often frowns down upon her because she is 6 months pregnant. Leah is afraid that nobody will want to adopt her due to the fact that she is having a baby, but also fears that she will not be able to care for the baby on her own. Grigori Ivan is a strong 9 year old boy from Russia. He is tall with dark blond hair and blue eyes with tanned skin. He is slightly passive-aggressive due to the fact that he has lived his entire life alone with a disreguard to rules. It will take patience to teach him to live a life with boundaries. Overall he is a kind young boy. He has a large, gentle mutt named Dima that he has cared for since he was 5, and would be heartbroken to be separated from.
Jodi Abigail was 5 years old when her parents died in a car crash, and has been living in an orphanage in Seattle ever since. She is now 13. She has tan skin, large brown eyes and wavy brown hair. He is slightly passive-aggressive due to the fact that he has lived his entire life alone with a disreguard to rules. It will take patience to teach him to live a life with boundaries. Overall he is a kind young boy. He has a large, gentle mutt named Dima that he has cared for since he was 5, and would be heartbroken to be separated from.

-Leila and Leland are doing great. They don't talk to Milan and me very often, but often confide in Leah. They wanted to share a room, despite the space we have, so we gave them our bedroom, which is the biggest, to accomodate their belongings. They spend a good bit of time outdoors exploring our 12 acres. Leila has discovered she likes dancing and asked to be enrolled in ballet. We told her we'd think about it, but only to surprise her furthermore when on her upcoming birthday she discovers she's the newest member of our local ballet classes! She'll be thrilled. Leland has an intense passion for sports. You can often find him and Milan playing one-on-one basketball in the driveway. Both of these wonderful children seem to adjust better and better each day. Leila's even having a friend over Friday night for a sleepover!

Leah gave birth to healthy twin girls, whom she named Cecelia Annabeth and Magdolna Poppy. She trusts me enough to watch over the girls while she's at school, which is a tremendous event for her. She's told me that sometimes she thinks that Milan and I will abandone her, like she's been all her life. Roger Ekene is an 8 year old boy from Uganda. His parents passed away due to AIDS when he was very young and he has been living on the streets ever since. He is malnourished, but has no diseases. Roger is tall with dark skin and short, dark hair. He is very sweet and loving, but many specialists fear that there is a possibility that when he moves to a location where food and healthcare are readily available, he may go into a state of shock. His live prior to adoption was extremely difficult, so he will need a lot of love and care.

Thank you so much for uniting us with our wonderful children!
Roger found it difficult to get used to his new circumstances at first but recently he has really come out of his shell. He recently started school and excells in drama. He is such an intelligant child and i know he will do great things - it just breaks my heart that there are so many other children like him that will not get the chance.
Shyam is a stunner! Any visitor i have always spends about half an hour cooing at him! He learnt English the quickest out of all of our children and is constantly chattering, he even talks in his sleep!

Mateo Juan and Esteban Virgilio are identical 3 year old twin brothers from Honduras. They are average height with thick brown hair, tan skin and large brown eyes. Mateo is shy and reserved and Esteban is loud and outgoing, but in a good way. They are both kind, friendly boys and are very accepting of new situations. They both only speak Spanish, so they will have to do a lot of adjusting to life in Great Britain. They never met their father and their mother died during childbirth. Mateo and Esteban are doing very well. First we had problems because they were really identical but after just a few days we noticed big differences in their personalities. Although Mateo is still a bit shy and doesn't like to meet new people he is starting to trust us and he follow us all the time. His brother Esteban or "Steve" as we call him sometimes are really energetic but he seems to be more at peace and doesn't scream and shout as much as he did in the beginning. Both of them love our dog Sylvester who is being very patient.
Lucia is also doing very well. She is very fond of Mateo and she talks to him a lot. In the beginning she only talked to the boys but now she talks to all of us and she is learning English very fast. The boys are also learning and it seems like they are replacing Spanish words with English.

Layla is doing awesome! She always brings a smile to our face! We recently bought the kids a puppy, which they let Layla name. She named it... giggles, and has been playing with it constantly.
Sophie and Joseph are also doing great. Joseph has finally learned to relax a little now that he knows that Sophie is well cared for. He has made many friends, and has discovered he has a natural talent for Hockey.

Aleksandra Kristine was living on the streets of Kiev, Ukraine for the first 4 years of her life. She was brought to an orphanage by a kind traveler and has lived there for a year. Many people look down upon Cassandra due to the fact that she is pregnant at such a young age, but she is a very loving and kind girl. She is average in height and has long brown hair and brown eyes. Her father left when she was only a toddler and her mother was abusive. She ran away at age 7 in search for safety, and has been living in various orphanages and foster homes ever since.

For the first two months Aleksandra (we call her Aleks now) didn't say a word, but one day when Alyssa asked if she wanted to play she said yes and since that day she talk with us but not with new people. We are now learning her english.

Eamon Donal and Bridget Keelin are 13 year old twins from Kerry, Ireland. They both have fiery red hair and bright green eyes. Eamon's hair is just past his ears and a constant mess and Bridget's hair is past her shoulder blades and curly. They both love to run and are quite good at it as well. Amélie Celeste is 14 years old and had been acting as a mother figure to her baby sister, Liane Noelle. She is from a fishing villiage on a small island off the French coast. She is a bit small for her age, yet still healthy. She has shoulder-length dark brown hair and large, inquisitive blue eyes. Amélie has never known her father, but her mother died while giving birth to Liane. Oftentimes Amélie becomes very upset when caring for her sister, as she knows that it is something her mother should have been able to do, but is very intelligent and understanding of the circumstances.
Liane Noelle is Amélie's baby sister. She is only 1 year old and has been brought up by Amélie. She has never known either of her parents, but as far as one can tell, she is very well loved. She has a small amount of blonde fuzz for hair and eyes identical to those of her sister.

Helena loves having new siblings around the house, even though she's not really close in age to any of them. She and I are teaching Luka and Amelie English (I am assuming Amelie spoke French before this). Amelie's a bit easier for me to teach, as I already know a bit of French.
We changed Liane's name to Liana, which isn't a very big change. Amelie doesn't have to care for her as much any more, but still helps out. Helena also likes helping; she loves having a baby sister. Liana hasn't starting walking or really talking yet, but she seems to enjoy babbling a lot.
