I think it could be, although maybe you should spell it Niel, since that's what Nathaniel ends with. The only other nickname I can think of besides the obvious Nate or Nathan is Thane.

I think it could be. Beside Nate or Nathan, I can't really think of any. Nat, haha. Than. Thanie/Thany. I'm really just pulling this out of thin air, but I really like the name Nathaniel, so if you come up with a good one let me know.
