Help[Opinions] Louisa
Louisa has slowly become a favorite of mine and now 4th on my list after Annabel, Katharine and Eliza. Do you like Louisa? Do you think it fits with my style or is it too serious? My favorite combo right now is Louisa Josephine, but in this case Josephine is a bit of a filler because I can't think of anything I like better.

NO! For some strange reason, this is up there is the top ten on my least favorite names list. Maybe because it rhymes with 'sleaze', or maybe because it just is ugly to me. Sorry!

Louisa is quite nice, it's been growing on me over time too. I think it fits perfectly with the other names you mentioned. It fits the same style.

I LOVE Louisa. And I actually love Josephine as a mn for many of my favorite fn's, lol, so I think Louisa Josephine is gorgeous. :b I think it fits in fine with your other choices, though they are all a bit more common than Louisa (esp. Katharine, and even Eliza). But Louisa is not unheard of by any means, and I consider them all to be classics so they are fine together imo.

I LOVE Louisa... I always think of the author of Little Women, Louisa May Alcott. I prefer it to Katharine and Eliza. Annabel and Louisa complement each other nicely.

LOVE it. It'll probably be one of the top 2 or 3 choices for DH and I if we have another girl. Seems like we have similar taste - I also love Eliza and Annabel!

Louisa is a wonderful name-- I love it! I especially like it as a middle name for Jane or Josephine.

And certainly not "too serious" for a grown woman. You could use a nn (like Lulu or Isa) when she's little.
If your name is Caroline, your dd could be named Louisa Caroline. Why should only men name children after themselves?
Or you could name her after the author, Louisa May.

Yes, I love the name Louisa. I've liked it ever since reading Persuasion (J.Austen). Two of the characters are sisters: Henrietta and Louisa. The names seems to fit together well for siblings.
As for a mn, Louisa Josephine is lovely. Others:
