For your amusement, a glance into my thought processes:
OK... Lily and Rory can't have kids yet. That narrows it to Ari, Trist, and Draven. Darn it! Trist is gay, so no go. I LIKE Sydney too much to do that, too. Uh, I wonder if she'd mind if I made Draven walk out on Sydney, cause I really don't wanna make Ari have a kid... WHY did I have to make Daniel the oldest...? Uh, I'll go with Draven and Sydney and change it if it messes up RS's visions of the future.
Wish: We'd like Trist and Bastian to adopt a son or daughter (we don't care) from a Central American country, aged eighteen months to four years.
Writing:
We were not overly surprised when Daniel and Kathryn came to tell us they were having another baby - babies seem to be a way of life around here. Shortly thereafter, Eoin and Autumn found out they were expecting - that, too, was hardly a shock to us. Just days later, Cata and Xander discovered Cata's pregnancy, which oddly enough was unexpected - likely because she's our oldest little girl.
A few months later, little Charlotte was born, followed exactly two weeks later by Lucian and Eva (they were born the same day!).
Just two days later, Sydney showed up on the front step crying. Winter gave her a cup of tea to soothe her nerves, and she haltingly told us what had happened. She had been feeling nausiated for the past few days and had gone to the doctor that morning, finding out she was expecting. Shocked, frightened, and also excited, she had gone home to prepare an elaborate dinner to surprise Draven. To her shock, he was furious at the news, and slapped Sydney across the face before storming from the house. Sydney had waited for hours, calling him on his cell phone every twenty minutes. She had finally gotten in the car (Draven took the truck) and come to us, in hopes we knew where Draven was.
Sydney's son, named Caspian Daniel after our oldest, was born last week. We have only heard from Draven once since he left, when he called to make sure Sydney hadn't been physically injured. He apparently returned to his apartment once, taking his belongings and leaving his keys, but didn't contact us.
As it now stands, we have taken in Syd like our own daughter, providing her support in her time of need. Daniel especially is livid with his "lazy, cheating, lying, rude, punk of a brother", and has vowed to tear him limb for limb because of what he did to Sydney.
Drama, pregnancy, and babies galore - that's the Steedman family.
