[Facts] Re: Suhana

True, but that word is of Sanskrit origin (actually two separate origins which merged: one from Sanskrit shobhana, beautiful, from the root shubh/shumbh to shine, make oneself fit, be beautiful etc., and the other from Sanskrit sukha+ApaYa, where the sukha means pleasure (That's another story, but it is the common word for happiness even today) and ApaYa means to cause to reach from the root Ap, cognate with Germanic üben, and meaning to reach). The name is however common only amongst the Muslim population to my knowledge, and since such names are not usually of Sanskrit origin, I would look to see if the Hindi/Urdu word is indeed the origin of the name: if there is a Persian or Arabic word which is similar, I will bet on that instead.
I would like to know if someone knows anything more about this name.
