Oh, how he was longing for a woman in his life. All alone in the big, cold castle the winter seemed endless and Emperor Guillaume could not stop thinking that it would all be different if he had had a woman there and could listen to little feet running over the beautiful wooden floors. The dream soon became a plan. Emperor Guillaume was determined that he was going to find a bride and that he would be married before the spring.
Knowing that a noble princess was not to be found in the tiny Castillon Emperor Guillaume sent messengers to all princesses in all the kingdoms he could possibly think of. Sadly all the princesses turned out to be either too young or too old for him. All but one. Six weeks later, early in the morning Baroness of Pezado arrived to Castillon. She was the the most wonderful woman Emperor Guillaume had ever seen and his knees were shaking and his voice trembled when he tried to speak to her. Soon he learned that she was not only beautiful but also very intelligent. The day after he asked her to marry him. Baroness of Pezado said yes. Emperor Guillaume was the happiest man alive.
And Baroness of Pezado? She needed the money. And she was young thinking that Emperor Guillaume would probably die long before her leaving the kingdom of Castillion to the royal family del Tuñado. And by the way the stable boy was pretty cute.
