I would say, "ah-VAH-nee."
It has history so it pains me to say this. But it reminds me of a product name. I'm not sure exactly what, but I can imagine a bunch of marketing types sitting around a table trying to come up with names for a new car or perfume. "Avani!" someone cries. "That's it!" It just doesn't feel like a name for a person, sorry.
Yet I'm stillr hanging on to a name I love, Alani, so what do I know?
