Ten years have gone by quickly in Westenberg, but not all have been happy. Soon after the birth of the Grand Duke and Duchess's third child Dominick an outbreak of Plague arrived in Westenberg, and many citizen fell direly ill. In an attempt to protect their children, and at the urging of their loyal subjects, the royal family fled the country and took up residence on a Mediterranean island, where they lived inconspicuously among the natives (albeit, with many servants in tow). Very few of the people of the island nation of Lagmos knew who this new family was, and the Grand Duke and Duchess's children played among the native children, the Grand Duke took up pomegranate farming, and the Grand Duchess wove beautiful table linens. The Grand Duke, however, did not forget his duties to his own country, and also worked vigorously to ensure that the best doctors and sanitation specialists in Europe were being sent to Westenberg to see an end to the Plague. Meanwhile, the royal couple's fourth child was born abroad. After a year and three quarters of living away from their home country, the royal family was able to return to Westenberg, and what a glorious return it was! Parades heralded them into the capital city of Arschheimenschnutzel and the family settled back into life in Westenberg, though the do continue to take a yearly holiday to Lagmos every summer. All seemed well, but trouble lurked on the outskirts of Westenberg. The neighboring kingdom of Yurkleheid had also fallen victim to Plague and lost their king along the way, and now his son and heir, the new King Philbert, is throwing harsh words at the Westenbergers for not extending their help during the time of illness. What will become of this feud? Will it erupt into war? Or will the Scholar King find a way to settle the dispute peacefully?
