[Opinions] Libby...
I'm really starting to like the name Libby but I feel like it would be better as a nickname. The problem is the only name I can come up with is Libya which I have liked for a while but I'm looking for more suggestions. So WDYT of the name Libby? What's a name it could be used as a nickname for? I should add that I don't really like the name Elizabeth.

My little cousin is called Libby but that is her full name rather than it being a nickname as it is usually used. I dont see any problem with it being used as a name by its self. Ive only ever heard of it eing short for Elizabeth or Elisabeth but i guess Olivia could work(Although i know a lot of people called Olivia nn Livvy). Isabella and Isabelle in their various forms could also strech to having the nickname Libby i guess!!

Olivia could work

Ditto. That's what I was going to suggest. I used to think Libby was short for Olivia and was confounded when I found it was in fact a pet form of Elizabeth. It seems interchangable with Liv/Livvy to me. Of course, Olivia may be too popular for your taste.

I don't really like Elizabeth as well, and Libby is very nice, and not only as a nickname. I really like Libya!
Some suggestions:

Taliba
Liboria
Claribel
Libitina
Leeba
Belinda
Liesbeth
Libuse
Maribel
Lubna
Beli
Sebelia
Lilibeth
Sibilla
Liberatoria

I like libby. I suppose you could use it as a nn for Isabel (or whatever spelling).

Elizabeth, this is the only name I've ever seen it used for, and its a nice change from the Liz and Beth nn's. It also gives your daughter the choice to choose which nn she prefers when she gets older (or to go by a formal name)

I've heard it as a nickname for Elizabeth but I suppose it could also work for Olivia, Lydia, Liberty, Liboria, Leeba, Isabella, Lilibeth, or Lisbet.

I've always known Libby as a nn for Elizabeth. By the way, I LOVE the name Libby!
