[Opinions] Kiefer?
I've recently taken a liking to Kiefer ("KEE-fer") thanks to Caemlyn's signature =]. I just fear that it seems a little trendy. Wdyt? What are some good combos and nicknames?

Actually,
i think that's kief or keef, not keifer. Unless i'm more out of the loop than i thought. :)

Yep... Keifer is one of the many nn's.
All I can think of is Kiefer Sutherland.
I like it alright, must be because I'm canadian and actor Kiefer Sutherland is from here. I don't think it is popular or trendy
Ditto to both Melusine and Darkest
Cows and milk drinks. Not good.

is a yummy fermented milk drink (different spelling/same prn.)
That's what i think of when i hear the world. i would never use it as a name.
But, perhaps i just run around in a fermenty-happy crowd.

Reminds me of 'heifer.'
Just what I was going to say.
I actually like it - I think the sound of it is quite cute. It does sound a little nickname-y to me, but that doesn't put me off it. I also don't think its trendy, but thats probably due to the fact that I've never met a Kiefer, or heard of one being born or anything.
I beg to differ with the previous posts. I don't think it's all that ugly, although it definitely brings to mind Kiefer Sutherland when I first hear the name and I'm sure those associations are going to keep coming up everytime someone else does too.
Maybe just a tad bit trendy, but I still like it. Perhaps you should use a traditional mn to even out the edges to it, though like:
Kiefer Edmund
Kiefer John
Kiefer Owen
Kiefer Patrick
Kiefer Paul
Kiefer William

I know one child in real life named this.
To me it's too much of a celebrity name though. I would never use it.
