It's decent. I don't care for the -ny ending much because it feels too "cute" or "perky" to me, but I think the name is fine.

I love it but prefer the spelling Bryony, otherwise I associate it too much with the name Brian, which I hateS xx

It's grown a lot on me, too, recently, although I prefer Bryony. I love how it's sweet and feminine without being frilly.

Always hated this name. It looks unattractive to me and I hate the sound of it too. Always makes me think "Brine" for some reason, even though it isn't pronounced that way!

I like it. I reminds me of Briar, which was sleeping beauty's name. Briar Rose. Actually kind of nice, though I'd never name someone that. Briony is rather uncommon, which is good. Combos:Briony Delia
Briony Samantha
Briony Samara
Briony Yvette
Briony Yolanda
Briony (C)Katherine
Briony Rain
Briony Jayla
Briony Jane

I love it (spelled Briony) thanks to the book Atonement.

That's how I discovered the name Briony. Ever since I read Atonement I am completely in love with Briony.

I dislike the spelling Briony, but I really like Bryony. It's one of the nicest of the uncommon nature names, imo.

Love it. It's sweet, uncommon but not weird. It could work as a feminine (sort of) way to honor any Brians in the family.

Love it, preferred it spelt Bryony, though.

I like Bryony in theory (that spelling only because it's the more "traditional" one and because I want to prn. Briony as BREE-uh-nee). But it really sounds like describing one who is like someone named Brian, because it sounds like Brian-y. "She's so Brian-y, that girl." :b
