[Opinions] Eavan
Eavan is the Welsh form of Aoibheann (Irish), both of which are pronounced "EE-van". Now, I agree that the spelling of Aoibheann is positively ridiculous, but I just love how Irish names look in their traditional spelling. I'd assume that it would be WAY too much for a first name, but I really love it! Wdyt? I would happily use Eavan as a first name, but just like Aoibheann that little bit more.

I like both names. I love the way things are spelled in Irish. That's part of what got me interested in the language in the first place. But if you live anywhere besides Ireland, I'd probably go with Eavan, at least for a first name.

Personally I'd prefer Eavan. More people would be able to correctly pronounce the name with this spelling.
