I don't like Emmerich or Emmett really, but Emory or Emery are very nice. I don't think they're feminine at all. I've never heard of either of those names used on girls before.
I dislike Emmerich, it sounds very harsh to me. I agree with the person who said Emeric would be better, but it's still nms. For nn's, you could try Rich, Rick \ Ricky, or Erich \ Eric?
Emmett is very handsome, I think it's definitely an improvement from Emmerich. I can't think of any nn's other than Em \ Emmy. This could be a stretch, but maybe Mitt or Matt?
Emery, I absolutely adore. It has a soft, gentle sound - but I don't feel it's feminine. It's all boy to me, and very cute! You could always use it as a nn for Emmerich if you want since you like both?

I'd prefer the simpler spelling of Emeric, but I don't really care for the name one way or the other. It's not bad, but I wouldn't use it. It's one of my professor's names, so I have a very strong association with it that would kind of ruin it for me. Nice guy, but just too unique a person with too uncommon a name to ever be usable for me. Objectively, I don't mind it, either.
I prefer the sound of Emmett, though. Emery / Emory makes me think of a nail file.

Emmett is one of my top favorites, and I also love Emory (for a boy only), but Emmerich makes me think of the word "limerick". :-/ I don't find any of them to be 'too feminine' at all, even though I've seen Emery on girls a few times (I've also seen Russell, Forrest, and Spencer on girls, and I don't find them feminine either :b).
