[Opinions] Pernelle
Pernelle - I heard it yesterday on tv, it belongs to a French ice-dancer.
From the sound of it, I thought it was a flower-name. Apparently, it's related to Petronilla and its Medieval forms (esp. Pernel)
I find it sweet, but also very Harry-Potter-ish, if you get my meaning. I could use it for a character or a cat, but not for a baby.
What about you?

I didn't think HP at all when I saw it, I actually thought of the French name Pernelle. I have heard of it before.I like it, but I can't say that it is my favorite.

I know plenty of people called this, the Scandinavian form of it. Pronounced pretty much like French actually. It's very common here.I think of it as very plain, I don't really find it sweet or special. It really depends on which country you're in, and the language spoken.

I think it would work fine for a child, it's sweet and different, but not very over the top IMO. It would be lvoely for a cat as well :)I prefer the spelling Pernel or Parnel though.

I far prefer Parnell and Petronella. Pernelle is fine for someone else (and I think it'd make a fine name for a baby), but it doesn't do anything for me personally.Array
