Help[Opinions] WDYTO Valdenia?
I know someone named Valdenia. I don't know if it's an established name, or if her mother made it up. It's not in this site's database, at any rate. Anyway, I really like it. It's similar in look and feel to Victoria, my favorite name, and also incorporates part of the sound of Valerie, which I also like. It seems like an ancient Roman name. So what do you think of it?

vahl-DEN-ee-yuh, I assume? I think it's neat--it sounds very Germanic to me, perhaps because I find it reminiscent of names like Waldemar. It strikes me as the sort of name a battle maiden might end up with in an opera, which I find appealing. :D Sounds very strong to me.

Google Valdenia and you find it's the name of a U.S. Representative from Kansas and the name of a Brazilian lawyer. So apparently the person you know isn't the only one. I don't immediately like it, but I can see where it might grow on me.
