I love it, although it isn't very practical outside of Ireland. Then again, I'm in the US and would name dds Niamh and Aoife tomorrow, so who am I to say no?
One quibble. I believe the correct pronunciaiton is "breed" not "bried" as BtN has it. Irish Gaelic "i's" are pronounced the same way French ones are, "ee," no?
I met a woman recently in Ireland named Breda ("BREE-da") which I thought was pretty. (Obviously that is an Anglicized spelling.)
