I love Jamie as a NN for James. I hate Jim/Jimmy, but Jamie is so adorable.
Jaime either looks like HIE-may or JAYM. It does not look like it would be pronounced JAY-mee. That's why it annoys me so much when in my English class, where we're reading Isabel Allende's The House of the Spirits, people keep pronouncing one character's name as JAY-mee when it's spelled Jaime and the book is set in a Spanish speaking country. I mean, even my English teacher says JAY-mee, and she should be able to know it's not that.
