I moved in to the apartment next to Colin's. The house was in a city, and I had grown up in the country, where our nearest neighbors were about ten minutes by foot away, so I was very nervous about going to introduce myself to the neighbors, but when I finally decided to go knock on Colin's door, he wasn't home and I lost my courage. It was three months before we actually saw each other, when I couldn't get into my apartment because I had lost her keys. Colin came home from work and promptly invited me over for dinner, and we started officially dating about a week later.
Exactly a year after our first meeting, Colin proposed to me. We had a fairly small wedding with our families and close friends in a lovely little church in the town where I grew up and where we now live together.
