[Opinions] Sorell (there are many spellings)
I was wondering if you find Sorell to be an acceptable middle name choice for a boy or a girl especially if your first two children also have nature middle name themes that start with "s".Thanks.Also, can I pronounce this So-rell? Instead of Sor-ryl like Lauryl?

I prefer the spelling Sorrel, and for a girl.

I think Sorrel is a very pretty name for a girl. I suppose you could pronounce it so-rell if you wanted, especially if you spelled it Sorell. But I like just Sorrel, as in the colour. That would rhyme with Laurel. I don't know about Lauryl though. I've never seen Laurel spelled like that.

Isn't that a type of horse? I don't like it.

I don't see why you can't pronounce it that way. And I think it works for a boy or girl, although I would spell it Sorell for a boy and Sorelle for a girl, not least because it means sisters in Italian (or Sorella, which is sister), which somehow makes the spellings more legitimate to me.

I adore Sorell/Sorrell, but I prefer it for a girl. It was the name of the main character in the Noel Streatfield book, "Theater Shoes."

I think Sorell is perfectly acceptable as a mn with either association.
