Personally I hate Anna so I wouldn't be one of those who seem to love it. It is one of very few names I just can't stand because it is so meaningless and bland to me. I'm not going to go deeper in to that but Anna is defintely not a favorite of mine. I much prefer Anne or even Annie. Hannah is nice but dull but so much better than Anna.

I like Anne as well, even though people complain that it's so boring next to Anna. Personally, I think it's more refreshing :)

Anne is timeless, has been borne by many historical figures, and reminds me of old gold. I would always use the e, though.
