Things are going well for the Whitestone family. After winning the lottery and buying a farm in the countryside the family life is very harmonic. Angus is doing well as a frilance financial consult and Pixie's horse riding school for disabled children is a success. Pixie and Angus have welcomed twin boys during this time. They have also adopted a boy, Alex Winter, from Russia. Pixie came in contact with a mother and her daughter who attended the horse riding school and found out that the girl was adopted from Russia. Pixie immediately felt like adopting was something she wanted to do. After having four children of her own and no financial problems any more Pixie talked to her husband about adopting a girl from Russia. Angus loved the idea and after six months of evaluations they were cleared. They were going to adopt.
A few months later they travelled to Russia and an orphanage in Moscow. Both Pixie and Angus had decided that they were going to adopt a girl since they already have three sons but then they saw Aleksandr and they knew that they had to adopt him. Aleksandr arrived in the beginning of January in a snowstorm and Pixie and Angus decided to give him Winter as a middle name.
