What do you think of Belphoebe (bell-fee-bee)?

It's a combination of belle meaning "beautiful" and Phoebe meaning "bright, pure".

When you first hear it what do you think of?

When you first see it spelled out what do you think?

Since I hate Phoebe I don't like it and it looks strange written down.

My first thought was that it looked like the name of a demon, like
Betelgeuse. My second thought was that it's strange and ugly.

I don't like Belphoebe. Phoebe is not that much better.

I much prefer this to Phoebe. It's very pretty but not something I would use.

I think of The Faerie Queene.

When you first see it spelled out what do you think?

That it's very unusual but pretty.

I much agree with you. I probably would not use it either. Not unless I was writing something....(?)

I first heard about that poem from this book called Beauty. It's pretty much a retelling of Beauty and the Beast (as the title probably gives away).
