Help[Games] Ashley's Picture Congrats Sign-Ups (First 20 Accepted!)
Hey all, I have decided to host another congrats because I had so much fun the last time! This time it will be a bit more in-depth and realistic. I think it will be fun if we all share pictures of our houses, cars, children, etc. We can also add little tidbits about our families (just a short paragraph) - all writing and pictures are optional, I know we all are busy! If you decide to do pictures one round and skip the next, that is fine! I will showcase my favorites each round!

Dear all,
Well as you should all know this has been a pretty special year for Jamie and I.
We'd like to thank our family and friends for making our wedding ceremony and our reception so special. We got married on a game reserve in South Africa, just outside of Cape Town, with our parents, Jamie's siblings (Anna, Adam and Rachel), my sisters (Daisy, Georgia and Kate), their various spouses and offspring and our best friends Imogen and Jackson, Natalie and Leo and my maid of honour Grace.
The ceremony was brilliant; it took place just as the sun was rising over the reserve and we surrounded by the noise of tropical birds and there were even a few elephants visible in the distance (that really made my day!) We spent the rest of the day on the terrace of the lodge, eating wonderful cuisine, talking, laughing, dancing, singing and watching the animals. Just before dinner was served Jamie and I went on a private elephant ride (a lifelong dream of mine) and after the night time feast we slept under the stars.
The next day we bid farewell to our friends before heading north to Rome for a few days. The picture was taken of us just outside the Colloseum by a photographer who asked if he could use the photo and sent us a copy. Don't we look good in it?! After seeing the sights in Rome, Jamie whisked me off to our next destination (it was a surprise). It turned out it was Brugges in Belgium, a place I fell in love with as a girl. He'd booked us a place on a five day luxury bus trip of the battlefields which was absolutely excellent - although we were the youngest couple there by years! We have made some very firm friends whilst there though.
After a fabulous start to the year, things continued to get better. Jamie's second novel was published to rave reviews earning a place in the Top 10 bestsellers list - I couldn't have been more proud and we'd both like to thank Jamie's creative writing professor at Edinburgh University for all the incredible tutelage he gave. Thank you very much Professor Gareth Moody.

Rylan and Luna have known each other since they were very young. Their father were business partners and still work together. Rylan was born in New York City and has always lived. Rylan has two brother, Dalton and Benji, and one sister, Livia. Rylan is the youngest at 24, while Dalton is 31, Benji is 29 and Livia is 26. Rylan parents, Henry and Cythnia Wadsworth are both from the South. Henry is from Georgia and Cythnia is from Texas. Henry lived a easy life, as his family were plantation owners. They were very rice. But, Henry wanted to make his own money, not inherit it all, so he moved to New York and married Cythnia. That is when Henry meet Fionn Black. Fionn Black is the father of Luna Black. Fionn and his wife, Maeve are Irish. Luna moved to New York City from Ireland when she was only 2 years old. Luna has a small family, with only a two sisters, Evanna and Talitha. Evanna is 25 and Talitha is 23. Luna is very close to Talitha and Evanna. Fionn's family wasn't as well off as Henry Wadsworth's was. His family had always worked on their farm, but Fionn has dreams of moving to New York and doing well for his wife and three daughters. Henry and Fionn got into business together and became best friends. Rylan and Luna become best friends. They both went to college at Yale, both to become lawyers. Rylan and Luna are naturilist. They love nature and hiking. They become engaged three years ago. But, Cythnia, Maeve, Evanna, and Livia had to plan to prefect wedding for Rylan and Luna. Luna is not at all a "bridezilla", she was easy going, and without her family, they would have probaby had a cival ceremony. They got married in Ireland. The Wadsworth agreed that it would be a beatiful place to get married. It was beautiful. The 4 bridemaids (Livia, Evanna(maid of honor), Talitha, Daphne(best friend)) wore red dress and all of the dresses were different, so they got to chose the style. The day was somewhat overcast, but their was a rainbow! One thing Luna did care about was the honeymoon. Rylan and her wanted to go to Peru. They had a great time (pictures below). Everything was prefect.

Our story is a true L.A. love story. John was majoring in broadcast journalism in college, while I was taking theatre classes. He tried his hand at theatre, and thus, we met in an acting class. Though he did enjoy the course, he still preferred the less complicated world of broadcasting, and found a job, first as a reporter, and then as an anchor at a local station in LA. I, on the other hand, continued in pursuit of a television acting career. I suppose you could say I've had a certain level of success with a few roles in film and guest roles in television, but I'm still waiting for the big break to come my way :-)
We hit it off from the start and dated for three years, before he proposed, after a romantic dinner. I, of course, accepted, and we were engaged for about a year before we married on May 18th. The wedding was absolutely magical, everything I'd ever dreamed of and hoped for. We exchanged vows in the early evening at the church I grew up in, in a lovely candle-lit ceremony. Immediately following, we had our reception, and then honeymooned in Hawaii.
We've decided to make our home in the L.A. area; he wanting to continue work at the station he's at, and I wanting to continue to act. We're looking forward to life we've made together and for our love to grow even more!

David and Gretchen first met during oriention on their first day of college, and during the "get to know each other/break-the-ice" games, the pair bonded over the discovery that they had the same favorite ice cream flavor (pistachio) and the same favorite band (the Clash). The two became fast friends, but didn't start dating until two years later, when David finally worked up the nerve to ask Gretchen out. (Turns out, they had both secretely liked each other as more than friends for quite some time.)
David is an architect, and Gretchen is a neonatal nurse. Their wedding was a destination wedding in the Virgin Islands, and thus was fairly small - only immediate family (including David's three older sisters, and Gretchen's younger brother) and closest friends.

Evan and I were married this spring in California. We had a relatively large wedding, both of our whole families were there and lots of friends. It was a beautiful day and there wasn't a cloud in the sky. We couldn't have asked for a more amazing wedding.
Evan and I met in high school several years ago. Actually, we first met at freshman year band camp. We ended up being best friends, and were with each other all the time, but we never would've dreamed, all those years ago, that we would be where we are now. For college, Evan left for Chicago and I went to Notre Dame in Indiana. We still kept in touch, but not nearly as much as we had before. After graduation, we ran into each other again at a high school class reunion. After that, we kept in touch and hung out a lot. We were both employed at this point - Evan is a record producer, I am a physical therapist. After two years of dating, Evan proposed, and I couldn't have been happier. We are now looking forward to moving in together and starting our family.

Bryce asked Ava out, and they soon became an "it" couple in their high school; everyone knew that where ever one was, the other would follow. They both entered college directly after high school, where Bryce majored in Secondary Education, and Ava majored in Elementary Education.

Eamon Bourne is 24-years-old and after attending a local university he is now working as a computer programmer.
Catalina Kane is a 24-year-old writer who works for her home town news paper and volunteers at a local animal shelter.
Eamon and Cat's friends had been trying to get the two of them together for several months but something always kept them from meeting. It wasn't until Eamon decided to adopt a pet that he met this pretty girl with curly brown hair and green eyes. He took his time choosing a pet and when he finally did get a dog the first time he took it out it ran back to the shelter and Catalina. Eamon finally got Cat to go out with him, and they soon realized that they had friends in common. A romance soon blossomed and after dating for a little over a year Eamon asked Catalina to marry him and she agreed.
They were married on Christmas Eve surrounded by family and friends. It was a fairly small wedding but it was everything the couple wanted. They now look forward to building a family together and spending the rest of their lives together.

Lux and Eve met in Milan while Eve was in a study abroad program her sophmore year of college. She was there for a year and Lux became her best Italian friend. When she had to come back at the end of her second semester in Italy they kept in touch, and each summer one of them traveled to be with the other. Finally Lux proposed and they were married a year later. They had a decent sized traditonal Catholic (they are both very devout Catholics) wedding in Italy with all of Lux's family, which is quite extensive, and with Eve's brother, parents and grandparents, as well as friends she had met while in Italy. They had a lovely honeymoon in Ez, France. Lux is in medical school and Eve has moved to Italy, but they are still living with his parents. Eve is a teacher, but is taking a year off to become accustiomed to the language. She will most likely be an English teacher.

How did you get that picture? I understand you can search for pictures on corbis.com but how do I get them from the website into my post? Do I need to be a member of the website? Is there a html code?

To get the picture right click and press "save picture as...". I use www.imageshack.us to upload my pictures because you don't need to sign up.

Most people on here use a website like PhotoBucket.com or another photo hosting site to upload the image we want. After you've uploaded an image (either from you computer, a web URL, or even your phone) that image will have an HTML code that you can then put in your posts and a picture will appear. Just like you've seemed to do with your signature picture.

Poppy grew up in the western English countryside. She always had a large garden and went to a university in Africa to study botany. She is thin (slightly bony) with green eyes and light blonde hair and loves nothing more than relaxing and viewing nature. She does have a bit of an unexpected side, though! When on a foreign botanical excursion, she once left her study group and was found hours later diving off a rather high waterfall into a large, secluded lake below. Clearly, Poppy loves to swim. She doesn't care where she swims, as long as there's water =P.
Jack was always a bit crazy. Originally hailing from Kerry, Ireland, he decided that before heading off to college, he wanted to experience the cultural depth of his country. He had been living in Dublin (one of the many stops he planned to make across Ireland) for a few weeks when he met Poppy. She had come to the area to study a specific type of flower. The two went out to grab a bit to eat and hit it off right away. They have been together ever since. Jack has dark brown hair that turns slightly auburn when the sun gets to it and blue eyes. He hates the concept of unnecessary planning and loves to simply live in the moment.
The two married in the late spring in Poppy's home town. And of course there were lots of flowers. They honeymooned in the Swiss Alps and are very happy.
