ABOUT LAST ROUND ..
This round was a lot of fun to read, thanks guys! A few people need to complete it and some have to fix a few things up. It was great to see how creative everyone is.
- Caoilainn, Flute, and Megankate, please complete round 1. http://www.behindthename.com/bb/view.php?id=3114615&board=game
- CN, jj21jj, and SarahKate, there is something you need to fix in your Round 1. You may just submit it with your Round 2 family!
- Genders: 7 of 18 chose to have girls, while 11 chose to have boys.
- Names everyone used: Here are the names of the children from last round! Luna, Aidan, Samuel, Lindsay, Avery (Ava), Madeline, Deacon, Rachael ‘Annie’, Joel, Orlando, Petra, Lucas, Adam, Marisela, Nicholas ‘Cole’, Owen and Ezra.
- Where people are living ..: SarahKate’s family chose to move to Seattle, while jj21jj’s is living in Virginia, Diamante04’s are in the Hollywood Hills (check out that mansion!). Spartz also decided to stay in California, and Aileen’s family is overseas in Ireland!
- Babies: Avalon’s Lucas weighed in at 8 pounds when he was born and was the heaviest. NurseMom75’s peanut, Deacon, weighed only 5 pounds, 6 ounces! We had two babies born in May, one in April, one in January and one in August.

I am keeping track of the votes, and whoever gets first place in a contest will get 3 points, 2nd is 2, third is 1. The first place person for each contest can have a wish! It can be anything like multiples, a new brother, a change in a name, etc. This encourages everyone to choose pictures and be creative!

- Two years have passed.
- You and your spouse have had a second child, which I determined.
- I provided name banks for everyone. No spelling changes, please! Nicknames are alright as long as they are legitimate.
- You can be creative if you’d like .. For example, Hola’s family took in their mother-in-law since the father-in-law has since passed. That’s a great story, and those additions are more than welcome! Please, for this round, at least, just refrain from adding any biological kids that I don’t give. There will be opportunities for that later!

Our family is growing again! We are thrilled to have another son, Aidan; even though we hadn't planned on having another baby so soon. Aidan is a much more active baby than Declan was. Lucky for us, Declan is still a mellow toddler. He loves being a big brother, and is very loving and gentle with Aidan.

Baby Leila's name was a sad compromise for Clare and Raki. They had chosen to name her Leila, because they felt that choosing non-Japanese names as first names would be the best way to represent both halves of their children's origins, since their surname is Japanese. However, they'd had the name Takara planned as a middle name, since both also wanted their children's middle names to be Japanese.
However, just before Leila's birth, the Hayashi family was given word that Clare's maternal grandmother, Emma, had died. Clare was heartbroken; during her childhood, her Oma Emma was the only family member she felt she could trust, and had remained the only person related to her for whom she felt fondness. Raki, recognizing exactly how important the woman was to his wife, suggested that instead of Leila Takara Hayashi, they have a Leila Emma Hayashi.
And so that was her name. Leila has thus far seemed a more placid baby than her big brother's constant smiles and activity, but she is sweet and beautiful and her family loves her. Joel is fascinated by her and must be told not to poke the baby, to use a gentle touch. And, as discussed, Raki has chosen to stay home with the children from this point onward! He is significantly more domestically inclined than Clare...and he claims he was sick of the all-white nursery idea Clare preferred. ;) For her part, Clare is currently doing office work, but she is looking for a job that requires more physical activity, which is what she's more inclined toward.

Joel is fascinated by her and must be told not to poke the baby, to use a gentle touch. And, as discussed, Raki has chosen to stay home with the children from this point onward! He is significantly more domestically inclined than Clare...and he claims he was sick of the all-white nursery idea Clare preferred. ;) For her part, Clare is currently doing office work, but she is looking for a job that requires more physical activity, which is what she's more inclined toward.

When Lucas was a little over a year old, Christian and I decided that we were ready to have another baby. This decision certainly didn't take long to come to fruition, as less than two months later, I was pregnant with our second child. Our family was thrilled with the news, and we like to think that Lucas was too (he was a little too young to fully understand what was going on). By this point, we had saved up enough money and had moved into a nice three-bedroom townhouse in Boston, within walking distance to the hospital Christian is interning at.
Given its proximity, guess which hospital I happened to give birth in? Just imagine Christian's surprise when, during an all-night shift, he was paged to the maternity ward because his wife was in labor! And what a labor it was. After 3 hours of pushing, we finally welcomed little Evelyn Leah into the world. (We had been sure we were having a boy again and so didn't have any girls names in mind, but when she arrived Evie just seemed right for our little girl.) She weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and was 19 inches long. Lucas absolutely loves being a big brother; at only two years old, he's already very protective of his baby sister and will stand guard dutifully anytime someone holds her. It's adorable when he kisses her and says he loves her.
Evie definitely looks a bit more like me, but she's got her dad's smile, just like Lucas! She's the perfect baby -- very quiet and mellow, never very fussy. She just likes looking at people with those beautiful eyes of hers. She's already got Christian wrapped around her little finger, she's such a Daddy's girl.

Eamon and Catalina are enjoying being parents and after a promotion for Eamon at work the couple are feeling quite secure. Catalina has quit her job with the paper and now volunteers with babysitting instead of at the animal shelter. She takes Aidan to play group a couple times a week and has recently been very busy helping her sister Evangeline with husband Tom and family move in a couple blocks over.
Little Aidan had just leaned to walk when Cat found out she was pregnant again. While a little bit earlier than they had planned on, the couple are very ready to be parents again. Finding out that their new baby would be a boy Catalina spruced up Aidan's old nursery and started making the transition with Aidan from crib to a big boy's bed.
Aidan just had his second birthday in April. His eyes has turned from their bright blue color to be like his father's brown eyes. Here he is at Thanksgiving time just a week ago:

It's been two years and Rodney and Penny have welcomed their 2nd child into the world. A GIRL! They are so happy to have a son and a daughter. Little Isabella Ingrid was 7lbs 3oz at birth. They all call her Bella. Cole was jealous at first, but seems to be coming around now. Rodney trys to take Cole out everyday when he gets home for some one on one time and after supper he'll take over "Bella duty" so Penny can give him some one on one time too.
Rodney is doing very well at his job as an Accountant. He's hoping his company will assign him to a big corporation in the next year. We are thrilled to announce the arrival of our second child and first daughter, Harper Lauren Abbey! Deacon's been a bundle of energy since day one, but it is already evident that Harper is much more serene. She weighed seven pounds, eight ounces, and was born at 6:12am on November 11th. Deacon is basically obsessed with his little sister, it's actually quite cute, particularly as he wary of the idea of having a little brother or sister at first, but he was delighted when the baby turned out to be a girl, saying that she wouldn't want to take his toys, haha. He's so good with Harper, very gentle, which certainly surprised me!
I've recently cut down on work - I now work two 12 hours shifts on the weekends, when David is home with the kids. This way, with a longer and less desirable shifts, and also due to the weekend pay differentials, I still make the equivalent of a 40 hour week, and am able to be home with the kids during the week. Makes the weekends crazy, and us both a bit haggard, but for the time being, I think it's the best plan.

Rylan and Jezebel are finally all moved into their new home. Delilah had a beatiful room to come home to. Luna also has her own room, but the girls will probably share a room when they are older.
The Wadsworth are both doing well in their law firms and are enjoying themselves. At the moment the two are planning a family vacation in a couple of months. They wanted to take Luna and Delilah to Ireland to met the rest of Jezebel's family. Luna has yet to go to Ireland and they would like to make it a yearly trip there.

Ulysses Todd entered our rapidly-growing family in August! It took Petra a bit of time to become accostomed to having an infant in the house, she being the rambunction toddler that she is, but she now adores him. Ulysses Todd entered our rapidly-growing family in August! It took Petra a bit of time to become accostomed to having an infant in the house, she being the rambunction toddler that she is, but she now adores him. While Petra is just looking more and more like her father every day (my oh my the curls she's getting), Ulysses is a Llewellyn through and through, at least in appearance, that is! He's a definate blue-eyed blondie, but can be quite the troublemaker! I can only imagine the trouble he and Petra will be getting theirselves into in a few years... For pictures, many use Veer.com or Corbis (I think?) You can also just Google and hit the Image button.
To insert a picture, you have to do the following:
1. Right click the picture
2. Click on "Properties"
3. There will be a code by the word "Address." Copy that code.

There's a new kid on the block! A few days ago Evan and I welcomed our second baby girl Leah Olivia Sander into the world. She was born February 7th and weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. She has light brown hair and hazel eyes. Evan says she looks more like me, but I think she looks exactly like him. Annie is extremely excited about having a new baby sister to play with. We're all looking forward to getting to know Leah.
We wanted to be surprised when we had our second baby so we decided not to find out the gender. We decorated the nursery in green.
Annie is two now and as rambunctious as ever! Evan and I finally realize what they mean by the "terrible twos". We are going to start sending her to preschool within the next year or so. She is really excited and can't wait to start school and make friends.

Ava is happy to announce that she is a big sister! Isabella Lucy, whom we have nicknamed Ella, came into the world August 8th, weighing 7 pounds, 4 ounces; 20 inches long. Ella has light brown hair and brown eyes. While Ava was a rather shy baby who preferred familiarity, Ella has an outgoing personality that lights up the room. She has such a sweet smile and loves to be around people.
Big sister Ava is absolutely wonderful with Ella. John and I could not have chosen a better relationship for the two. Ava has to see her little sister first thing in the morning, loves to play with her all day, and cannot go to sleep without first giving her a kiss good night. The girls are so precious together, and Ella could not have asked for a better sister (and she seems to already know it!). We can tell they're going to be quite close as they get older, and Ava can't wait for the day that Ella can really play dolls and dress up with her.
Ava is now two and half years old and growing so quickly. Her hair seems to have lightened recently, but it wouldn't at all surprise me if it darkens up as she gets older; and she still has Daddy's beautiful blue eyes and that contagious smile that captures everyone. Thankfully, she hasn't put Mommy and Daddy through much of the terrible twos, and is really a sweet little girl. She loves to color, play with her dolls, and Care Bears are her absolute favorite at the moment.
I began auditioning for small guest roles in television when Ava was about eight months old and continued until shortly after I found out I was pregnant with Ella. Now that we have another baby, I've decided to take some time off, just like I did with Ava, to just be Mommy to my two precious girls. They're absolutely wonderful, and John and I cannot imagine having a better life or sweeter gifts of joy.
