I was under the impression that murieann was pronounced as More-in .. not sure if that's technically correct though.

I'm not positive, but since nobody else has answered you, I believe Muireann is pronounced MWI-rin, and Muirgen is pronounced MWIR-gan, sort of like Morgan.
