Cole's parents came to visit us after Rose was born. They live in Florida, while we live in Michigan, so we don't get to see them very often. For whatever reason, Leah and Caitlin have decided they don't like their grandmother, so the visit was rather stressful in that aspect. Mike and Nichole were thrilled to welcome their 7th child! Rachel was thrilled she finally had a sister, Sarah Rose. Mike's parents came to visit from Colorado, where Mike and Nichole use to live. The kids love Nana & Poppy and everyone is happy when they come for a visit.
Zach is now in 3rd grade and loves playing sports, especially soccer. Nick and Drew have started 1st grade and also love sports. Rachel is in Preschool and is very social. Nate and Chris are adorable, rambunctious 2 year olds. Sarah is a very content baby.

John and I are happy to announce the arrival of our son, Jude Samuel! Jude was born June 24th, weighing 8 pounds, 4 ounces; 21 inches long. He has dark blonde hair and blue eyes and resembles John quite a bit.
The boys are, once again, thrilled to have a brother. They all get along wonderfully, especially when it comes to playing outside, and can't wait until Jude joins them. Jasmine and Elisabeth were hoping for a little sister and were disappointed, in the beginning, to be so outnumbered. They've come around, though, and both love their baby brother a lot.
John's parents came to visit, from Northern California, a few weeks before Jude was born and stayed for a few weeks after. The kids loved having them here and particularly enjoyed all the stories they have to tell. In fact, when it came time for them to leave, none wanted to let them get back on the airplane, so we're planning another visit very soon! :-)

Well, my parents came to visit the new baby. It's been years since we've seen them, due to the fact that we live half way around the world from them. My parents are missionaries in Africa, so they don't get to come back much.
I thought they were going to freak out when they saw the python, but thankfully everything turned out alright... until it got loose. My dad then quarentined us all into one room (despite my insistance it had happened before) until he found it, which was fortunately only a few hours later.
My parents were so glad to see all the kids. It's been four years since they last visited, so they hadn't even seen Brennen, Tristan, Riley and Luke. We were all very sad to see them go.
