John and I met when he was a junior and I a freshman, both attending college in Los Angeles, California. He was a broadcast journalism major, whose goal was to obtain an anchor or reporter position in the large, prestigious L.A. market. I was an acting major, who dreamed of that big break.
We hit it off immediately and dated for two years before he proposed to me after a romantic dinner. We were married about a year later on May 18th, in a fairy tale-like ceremony in the church I'd grown up in.
By the time we married, I was well into the audition circuit and had held a number of guest roles in television and small roles in film. But shortly after we were married, I landed the job I'd always dreamed of, getting my first main, contracted role in television. John had also become quite well-known in the broadcast television market. Having started as a reporter at a local L.A. station, he moved his way on up to the anchor chair.
We decided to buy our first home in the Hollywood Hills area of West Hollywood. It truly is a dream come true to live in such a lovely, relatively quiet neighborhood. Our's is a five bedroom, six bath house, purposefully chosen with our future family in mind.
