You don't get along with your Mother-In-Law very well, but she offers to look after the kids while you and Carlisle are at work. This is free child care, but off someone you’re not very keen on, do you take it?
Neither Carlisle or I particularly like Melinda, Carlisle's mom. She wasn't a good influence on Carlisle, and he realizes this. Melinda (I refuse to call her 'mom') argues with us on everything. When I announced I was pregnant for the first time, she tried to have me get an abortion saying I was 'too young'. She even refused to come to the wedding because she felt that Carlisle was too young to marry when he was 22. We really don't want her to be a big part of the kid's life. When she offered to babysit the kids, we had to turn her down. I already get free child care at the school I teach at anyway. Now she is saying that she'll never speak to us again. We really aren't too concerned about that. Carlisle said to me after she said that "Finally. I've waited 24 years for this moment.".
