Hate it, on both, but especially on a girl. It has a very unatrractive sound, and it does sound very pretentious and snobbish (for want of a better word). It'd be better in the middle name spot. Combo's that spring to mind:

Kaia Sloane
Linnea Sloane

I'm not good at pairing a front name with a set middle name, as opposed to the other way round, but you get the idea.
