Jesus Eduardo's parents moved to the US for a better life, but they couldn't afford to keep him. They knew that it would be only the best for him to find a new home. If they had kept him, he would have to sit alone in the house all day while his parents were at work, and they knew this would not be safe. We decided to adopt him, and gave him the name Jacob, a more common US name. He loves being called Jacob, and wants us to nickname him Jake, so we did.

Jake is doing just fine in school and everywhere else. He has made many new friends and is learning English quite well. It took some time at first, but since I speak Spanish, we can communicate well! Eliza and Odelia just love having a big brother.
