Does anyone know the meaning of the name Yoshimi?
It is from a song by The Flaming Lips called "Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots" from their album of the same name. The song is about a girl, I'm guessing that the name is of Eastern-Asian background.

According to google, it's close to a Japanese expression meaning "beautiful reason" or "beautifully good." It depends on the characters.

The name, from what I have heard, comes from the singer/drummer of The Boredoms. She's cute.
