[Opinions] Arina
I was watching the European iceskating championships last night, and one of the many Russian competitors was named Arina. WDYT? I'd never heard it before and I thought it was rather pretty, more than the somewhat stereotypical Irina.

Irina (ee-REE-nah) is pretty; I have a co-worker named Irina, but most people seem to mispronounce her name EYE-ree-nah. Arina is not as pretty in look or sound to me, and makes me think of an arena.

It reminds me of 'arena'. But I think it's still a very pretty name.

I like Irene pronounced the original way - I-ree-nee. I know a British-born lady in Australia who pronounces it this way, but she's over 90. Everyone else I've met with the name says I-reen.
