I believe you that it wouldn't fly, but I wonder why. It's Scottish, which is fashionable - admittedly it doesn't have the Finn / Aidan / Calum sort of sound that is trendy. But quite a few -o names were in vogue here (and I assume, in RL) not so long ago, like Milo and Hugo.
Do you think it's Marilyn Monroe that's the trouble? Or just the unfamiliarity? Just curious :)
